Michael White is a forensic security and risk management consultant who helps clients make better decisions when the stakes are real.
As the founder of Michael White Group International, Michael provides independent advisory support for complex security, risk, resilience, and forensic security matters. His work is often called upon when clients need to understand what is exposed, what is working, what is missing, and what actions are reasonable, practical, and defensible.
Michael’s approach is grounded in careful analysis, discretion, and integrity. He looks beyond surface-level security measures to understand how people, processes, technology, governance, documentation, and the physical environment work together in practice. Rather than beginning with a product or predetermined solution, he helps clients clarify the real risk, assess existing controls, and prioritize action based on their operating environment.
Throughout his career, Michael has advised clients across critical infrastructure, commercial retail, residential property management, government, law enforcement, emergency management, and high-net-worth environments. His work has included security assessments, threat and risk reviews, emergency preparedness planning, incident-related analysis, policy and procedure development, and guidance for complex security and resilience matters.
Michael has also collaborated with law enforcement agencies and professional partners across Ontario, Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, providing consultation, resources, and specialized security expertise in sensitive and high-consequence environments.
He holds several recognized professional credentials, including the Certified Protection Professional designation from ASIS International, the Canadian Risk Management designation, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Security Management, an Advanced Terrorism Studies certificate, the Situation Awareness Specialist Advanced Practitioner designation, and the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Professional designation. He is also an ISO PECB certified trainer and a certified Lead Implementer in ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems.
Michael contributes actively to the security profession through his involvement with international and national committees, standards development, and professional education. He has supported content development and review for the ASIS Security Risk Assessment Certificate program and facilitates the ASIS Physical Security Professional Study Group, helping practitioners strengthen their physical security assessment knowledge and skills.
Outside his professional consulting work, Michael has contributed to his local community through volunteer service with Crime Stoppers of Niagara, where he held several positions on the Board of Directors, including Executive Director. He is also an active member of his community’s Emergency Management Community Emergency Response Team.
Across every engagement, Michael’s focus remains consistent. He helps clients understand risk clearly, make informed decisions, and take practical steps to protect people, assets, operations, reputation, and continuity.
