He’s been both directly responsible for and has consulted on ensuring compliance to legislation, creating and adopting security, risk and emergency preparedness plans, systems and implementing technology applications.

He authored Emergency Response Plans, which have been implemented nationwide. He created a business impact analysis that focused on a devastating natural disaster, which was adopted by one of Canada’s major national banks.
Michael has been highly praised for his specialized emergency exercises. His exercises have led to improvements in plans for both corporations and government. He has expertise in creating critical systems infrastructure drawings and writing approved Fire Safety & evacuation plans. Michael has led many sensitive internal criminal investigations. He has also led group facilitations with an emphasis on the motivation and the development of effective partnerships.
Michael was the resident crowd management expert at Canada’s largest theme park. His extensive crowd management experience led him to author crowd management directives used both in Canada and the United States. His expertise came from years of experience planning and executing large scale entertainment and special events. His event expertise spans both small and large groups, and encompasses broad ranges of cultural diversity Michael has led and participated in the personal protection of figureheads and celebrities including, the Premier of Ontario, the Crown Prince and Princess of Saudi Arabia and many musical, screen, and sport stars.
Michael managed several profitable personnel and electronics driven regional security service businesses. He impacted the expense line by implementing cost saving measures. By re-focusing the business on the core customer base, he increased revenues in one year by 71.43%
Michael received the profession’s highest accreditations; Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM) from the Risk and Insurance Management Society. He has a Post Graduate Certificate in Security Management from Buckinghamshire New University.
He believes giving back to his community is important. He sits on various security related international and national committees continuing to volunteer his time and expertise.
