The Arcuri Group LLC Situation Awareness Specialist® (SAS) professional certificate program delivered by Michael White Group International is designed to educate an individual in the discipline of situational awareness, thereby creating a security awareness practitioner capable of understanding and dealing with the dynamics of random and potentially threatening events.
This program is an introduction to the craft of situational awareness. This program provides a look at situational awareness from both an internal and external perspective. The goals of the program are many and speak to many competencies including but not limited to: decision making and judgement, social competence, adaptability, emotional regulation, and stress tolerance, as well as conscientiousness.
Decision making involves drawing on all the information sources available and choosing a sensible course of action – decisions can be made through an intuitive or reasoned process (or a combination of the two). The SAS course provides an actionable framework and set of tools that provide the student with critical information to assess a variety of fluid situations and make appropriate and sensible decisions based on sound judgment.
