As the founder, President and Principal consultant of the Michael White Group International, Michael brings his expertise in Security and Risk Management coupled with years of experience in Emergency Management to assist private organizations, government entities and high-profile public figures in mitigating risk, enhancing their security profile and preparing themselves for emergencies.
With more than three decades of experience, Michael has the continuous need for education and giving back to his personal and professional communities. Michael received the profession’s highest accreditations; Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM) from the Risk and Insurance Management Society. He has a Post Graduate Certificate in Security Management from Buckinghamshire New University. Michael is a Transport Canada certified Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) pilot.
Believing that giving back to his community is important, he sits on various security related international and national committees/councils volunteering his time and expertise.
He has a track record of successfully preparing organizations and teams for emergencies, in improving security operations effectiveness, finding cost effective risk mitigation solutions, and training and educating security professionals from frontline to CSO’s. Michael demonstrates true passion when educating and improving industry standards and best practices.
Michael has applied his expertise in many sectors including Critical Infrastructure (Utility, Education, Healthcare, Government) and Commercial Retail and Residential Property Management. He’s authored numerous Emergency Response Plans, which have been implemented nationwide. He created a means of conducting a business impact analysis that focused on a devastating natural disaster, which was later adopted by one of Canada’s major national banks.
Michael believes in focusing on the possibilities rather than the problems. He looks at what is working, instead of what is wrong. He looks at the strengths and looks to take advantage of the existing assets to address and manage risks, engage people and elevate the security profile.
