Security theatre may be part of your approach but it should not directly interfere with any other risk mitigation practice or technique.
The surveillance dome in this picture is a ‘dummy’. What you can’t see from this angle is that the dome and its entire apparatus is blocking a fire sprinkler system head over a section, in this particular department store the electronics are displayed. Slight bit of irony don’t you think.
I’m sure they have their reasons for placing this ‘dummy’ in this section of the store. The entire apparatus appears to be easy to deploy. I just think they needed another five minutes to think about it.
